Are you, or someone you know, crazy for anything cacti related? If so we have the perfect, two-part painting & potting class for you!

Our “Crazy for Cacti” painting will be created on a 16in x 20in stretched canvas. We will be using a range of acrylic paint colors of red, purple, teal blue, greens and golds to create this colorful scene.

We will begin by creating our teal color for the background. Once painted we will add purple and golds to create an aged, washed look. After our backgrounds have dried we will map out our cacti shapes. Zak Barden, our lead florist and class instructor will walk you through the steps of shading to create the different colors and textures on your cacti. We breakdown the steps for everyone to follow which makes this class perfect for both the beginner and master painter!

Once our cacti are shaded we can add the colorful flowers. Dots in shades of light blue, lavender and white will become our spikes this morning and will be the finishing details to our bold, desert landscape!

The second part of our class will be the potting portion. We have the cutest cacti planters that will be the new home to any cactus or succulent you choose from our succulent garden or cacti wagons. Once filled with dirt our new succulent will be potted. Care instructions will be explained and any questions answered during the class on how to make your living cactus or succulent survive and thrive! After we are done planting we will surround your planter with a lush green moss to add an extra pop of color and a little moisture control too. We can’t wait to have you for an afternoon fill of cacti craziness! 🙌 🌵 🎨
